The RainBird VB-STD-B standard rectangular valve box (part number A11403) is the body only and does not include a lid. This valve box body is designed to protect in-ground irrigation valves and other subsurface system components, and it can be stacked bottom-to-bottom with another standard valve box for a deeper installation of system parts. On the inside, the openings are 14.5" x 9.4" at the top and 18.7" x 14.1" at the bottom. A total of 13 knock-outs are easy to remove for placing pipe, and they can be slipped back into their retainers above pipes to stop backfill dirt from getting inside.
